FLOORING

Cutting in:

To eliminate overspray on the walls and unwanted areas, simply outline the perimeter of the room with a 4-inch band of adhesive. Appling the adhesive from 8-12 inches above the substrate will create a 4-5 inch wide band.
NOTE: When “cutting in”, adhesive applies much quicker. The applicator must move much faster when “cutting in” in order to avoid excessive application of adhesive. Once you have your room outlined, maintain a consistent height. Emulate spray pattern as out lined in the install guides (CLICK HERE FOR GUIDES)

Overspray:

Following the “cutting in” method as listed above can eliminate the majority of unwanted overspray. Any additional overspray can easily be cleaned up. Simply wipe overspray in unwanted areas with a water-dampened cloth. If the adhesive dries, try our overspray cleaner or any generic mineral spirits.

How to eliminate “edge curl” and “cupping” with sheet goods:

When installing sheet goods with Spray-Lock™ the following are the most proven methods of installation:
• Dry lay entire room
• Fold back half the room exposing half of the substrate.
• Apply the “cutting in” method (4 inch band of adhesive) around the perimeter and at all seams.
• Use the install guides to fill in the rest of the area in accordance to the spray pattern guide provided.

Spray-Lock™ really increases productivity:

Because of Spray-Lock™ has a long working time down time is almost eliminated. You have hours after the adhesive has dried to lay your flooring. This allows you to apply adhesive to multiple sections/rooms while waiting for the initial section/room to dry. This method has produced up to a 50% increase in productivity.

Ceramic Tile Adhesive

Finding your center point and chalking your lines before spaying will make it a lot easier to keep your tiles straight and square. Tiles won’t sag, so it is not necessary to start at the bottom like you do with mastics.

Fiber Reinforced Panel / Non Reinforced Panel

Before inserting the sheet of FRP/NRP into the center divide put the J-molding on top and bottom first. This makes the job go a lot faster with less hassle.

In tight areas it is better to apply adhesive onto the back of the panel instead of the wall, this will help you maneuver the panel with ease.
