Spray-Lock adhesives offer a range of significant advantages for specification by Architects and Builders.

ZERO VOC ADHESIVE

Every adhesive in our range contains ZERO VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) in content or emissions thereafter. Each formula has been designed to eliminate dangerous fumes and emissions that contribute to pollution of the indoor air environment not just during installation but for years later. Other competitor adhesives contribute to Sick Building Syndrome where toxic emissions emit through the flooring during the floor’s life cycle and contaminate indoor air quality. When humans spend an average of 87% of our lives indoors this makes the above information very significant and important to people’s health.

REDUCE CONSUMPTION

Spray-Lock adhesive reduces consumption of toxic bucket (and contact) adhesive as Spray-Lock consumes 80% less adhesive on the floor than its competition.

Example: One large retail customer alone reduced its consumption of adhesive by more than 3.6 Million pounds which removed 86 truckloads off the highways, saved 123 tons of CO²e of green house gases and conserved 175,141 gallons of manufacturing water by adopting Spray-Lock.

RECYCLE - CONTAINERS AND FLOORING

Spray-Lock aerosol cans are made from 100% recyclable aluminum canisters. This reduces need for plastic manufacturing of glue buckets.

Many flooring manufacturers are implementing flooring recycling practices and one difficulty in this process is the removal of the thick layer of trowel adhesive from the old vinyl before the recycling process can begin. Spray-Lock adhesives allow this process to succeed easily due to the simple fact that when vinyl tiles or planks are removed there is only a microscopic amount of Spray-Lock adhesive on the backing. Vinyl flooring manufacturer’s recycling testing has proved that because Spray-Lock adhesive is inert (and in only minor amounts) the process works easily only with Spray-Lock adhesive where bucket adhesive causes many more issues.

HOSPITALS AND SCHOOLS
